JMR Johor Corvettes finish mid-pack at the Mandalika Circuit in Indonesia

Prince Abu Bakar Ibrahim (MYS) and Jordan Love (AU) finished 4th and 6th completing 31 and 33 laps respectively in the # 66 Z06 GT3.R Corvette in SRO WC Asia Series 90-minute sprint races on May 3-4 at the Mandalika Circuit in Indonesia.

Prince Jeffri Ibrahim (MYS) and Ben Green (UK) finished 7th and 8th in the # 99 Z06 GT3.R Corvette.

The 2 Corvettes compete in the 16-car Pro Am class.

Note that Alexander Sims (who teamed up with Prince Jeffri to win the series opener in Malaysia) was serving with Antonio Garcia on the Pratt & Miller team where they finished 3rd in GTD PRO in the 2 hour-40-minute IMSA race at Laguna Seca in California.

The Origine Motorsports Team from China swept the Pro Am class both days with the # 87 Porsche 911 GT3.R (992) piloted by Bob Yuan & Leo Ye winning on Saturday; and the # 4 Porsche 911 GT3.R (992) piloted by Wei Lu and Alessio Picariello (Bel) winning on Sunday.

Corvettes made in the USA seem to add curiosity and excitement when they race on foreign shores such as with the SRO WC Asia series.

The # 99 Corvette is shown among 8 marques consisting of Audi, BMW, Corvette, Ferrari, Lambo, AMG, Nissan and Porsche fighting to win the 2025 6-round SRO WC Asia Series.

As in Malaysia, tradition carries on with these exotic sword dancers.

The 2.67-mile Mandalika Circuit is situated seaside on Lombok Island, one of some 18,000 islands that make up Indonesia, a Muslim Republic and the fourth most populous country in Asia at 280 million.

The series moves to Thailand on May 31-June 1
