Lone Corvette inherits 5th place at Sonoma Trans Am
Amy Ruman in the # 23 Ruman Racing Corvette was the only Corvette team to take to the hills of Sonoma; and is likely the lone Corvette to follow at Laguna Seca in the week out west thanks to sponsorship and perseverance.
The long haul has proven too costly for those with less backing and less to gain in the long run.
Money is no issue for # 3 Paul Menard (center stage) and # 16 Chris Dyson (to his right) in Ford Mustangs vying for the 2025 TA championship.
Menard edged Dyson followed by Tomy Drissi in his # 8 Camaro.
Starting from back in the pack, Ruman inherited 5th place, one lap down, as three faster cars fell out of the 40-lap race.
Hat’s off to Ruman Racing Corvettes in their 26th consecutive year begun by Bob and followed by Amy.
