Steller Motorsport # 24 Z06 GT3.R finishes 2nd in debut at Paul Ricard in France
The Steller Motorsport # 24 Z06 GT3.R took 2nd place in the silver class on April 12 in the opening round of the SRO WC GT Europe series that visits the UK, Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, Germany and Spain.
Team manager Max Daymond recruited drivers Lorcan Hanafin (UK), Kiern Jewiss (UK) and Matisse Lismont (Bel) to race the Corvette for the season.
The trio completed 178 laps on the 3.6-mile Circuit Paul Ricard.
Their pace was among the top three in the 17-car Silver class In practice and qualifying before the 6-hour race.
Steller inherited 2nd place behind the winning Paradine Competition # 992 BMW M4 GT3 Evo when the VSR # 60 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo2 fell back in the final hour.
Steller Engineering, located in the UK (between London and Birmingham) quickly mastered the Corvette owing to its experience racing the Audi R8 GT3 at circuits across Europe.
Steller will be at home in the UK for a sprint race on May 2 at the fabled Brands Hatch circuit.
