TF Sport Corvette finishes 6th in opening round of ELMS in Spain

Charlie Eastwood, Rui Andrade and Hiroshi Koizumi piloted the # 82 TF Sport Z06 GT3.R Corvette to sixth place in the European Le Mans Series after starting twelfth in the 4-hour race on the 2.9-mile Circuit de Catalunya on the outskirts, northeast of Barcelona Spain.

The struggle began with the TF team drafting their FIA WEC chassis 007 into service.

Koizumi totaled new chassis 012 that was destined for the ELMS in a catastrophic crash when testing at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium. That car is now scrapped.

Celia Martin, Sarah Bovy and Michelle Gatting in the # 85 Iron Dames Porsche 911 GT3 R won the race.

Gatting held off Daniel Serra in the # 57 Kessel Racing Ferrari 296 GT3 in the final 2 laps to secure the win.

A brand-new chassis 023 will debut in the second round of the ELMS at Le Castellet (Paul Ricard) on May 3 - 4, wrapped in the designated chrome silver paint scheme.
