Trans Am Corvettes at Lime Rock overshadowed on Memorial Day Weekend

Lime Rock Park’s stellar new ownership group dedicated the iconic racing tower to Skip Barber, past owner, long-time racer and school founder in the midst of a stirring military tribute to soldiers who sacrificed their lives for our country.

Richard Forsythe and his G Speed C6 Corvette journeyed all the way from Cresson TX and led the SGT class before mysteriously losing power on lap 57, just 3 laps shy of first-time winner Jenn Krpata in a Camaro.

 Having won at Road Atlanta, top finishes on consecutive weekends at Pittsburgh Raceway (Wampum PA), Mid-Ohio and Road America should lead to a title.

Appearing at Lime Rock going on 15 years, Amy Ruman confided she was not feeling at her best.  Give her credit for hanging in to finish 5th and score points in the TA class.

 In contrast, Kaylee Bryson starts just her 2nd year in Pro racing with a goal nothing short of making it to the Indy 500.

Kaylee practiced at LRP in Connecticut on Friday before heading 800 miles west in her Chevy Silverado for Sunday’s USAC Silver Crown race at Indianapolis Raceway Park.

Hustling back in time for Monday’s race, she faced rainy conditions and dropped out on lap 23 due to overheating.

 We plan to follow her progress, backed by Sam Pierce Chevrolet with Aaron Pierce’s Driver Development Program, LSI Enterprises, and by her marketing savvy as this fan favorite launches her career.
