# 63 C8 Z06 GT3.R wins double-header in World Challenge GT3 Series at CoTA
Tommy Milner and Alec Udell, debuted chassis 010 owned by the DXDT racing team and won a pair of races on Sat/Sun May 11/12 at the 3.4-mile Circuit of Americas in Austin, TX, the F1 track built in 2012 that hosts the US Grand Prix.
Starting from pole on Saturday, Udell fought off a BMW rival to recover the lead. Milner took over at the mandatory pit stop and set the fastest pace completing 42 laps in the 90-minute race on the way to the first win for Z06 GT3.R in global competition.
The win in this highly contested series was especially sweet as the 33-year-old Milner, a stalwart from the GM Corvette Racing Team, logged the most miles having sat out the 2023 season to test and develop the Z06 GT3.R for customers to race in 2024.
The 30-year-old Udell, also a PRO who last year commuted 16 times to Europe to win the World Challenge GT4 championship, went on to win the double-header on Sunday after taking over from Milner on the move from starting sixth.
Bryan Sellers (Pro) and Scott Smithson in the # 08 Corvette finished fifth among 12 cars in the Pro-Am class, their best result after their initial race at Sebring. Even though they kept pace with the leaders, time lost to replace a flat tire at the start cost them a lap that dropped them to last on Sunday.
Neil Verhagen (Pro) and Samantha Tan and her globetrotting ST team also won both days in their # 38 BMW M4 GT3, backed by the deep pockets of her dad, the global financier Ken Tan.
Christie Bagne, program leader praised everyone for all their hard work that led to this fantastic weekend.
While the World Challenge takes time off until July 19-21 at VIR, Milner is paired with Alexander Sims in the Pratt & Miller team for three longer IMSA races starting May 31-Jun 1 on the street circuit in Detroit.
