Ross Chouest notches 2nd and 4th in SRO America at Barber Motorsports Park

Ross Chouest piloted his # 50 ZO6 GT3.R Corvette to 2nd and 4th places in 40-minute sprint races for the SRO3 class on Saturday and Sunday Sept 26 & 27 at Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama.

Chouest is the only Corvette competing in all 7 races in the series that ends at Indy on October 11.

Chouest and his family celebrated in style. 

A broken driveshaft was fixed in time for Memo Gidley to enter and win Sunday’s race in the SKI racing # 56 Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVOII, completing 29 laps and also clinching the title before the finale at Indy.

Barber Motorsports Park, in Leeds AL, about 17 miles east of Birmingham opened in 2003.  The flowing 2.38-mile circuit is situated on a beautifully landscaped 880-acre property conceived by the late George Barber as a place to race motorcycles, 1,800 of which are housed in a 230,000 square foot museum that is open to the public.

Finishing well at his “home track” was a nice touch for Chouest.
