# 33 TF Sport Corvette finishes Runner-Up in ELMS race at Silverstone

Charlie Eastwood, Blake McDonald and Alec Udell nearly won the LMGT3 class in the 4-hour race at the 3.66-mile Silverstone Circuit in the UK.

The trio came up three seconds short, completing 98 laps in the # 33 Z06 GT3.R Corvette.

McDonald qualified second among 13 cars in the LMGT3 class.

Heavy rain fell at the halfway point with the top 4 cars trading places as they scrambled to come up with the winning strategy.

Abdulla Ali Al-Khelaifi, Julian Hanses and Ralf Aron piloted the Team Qatar by Iron Lynx # 62 Mercedes AMG GT3 to victory.

The TF Sport team based in Slinfold, West Sussex is only a 101-mile drive from the fabled Silverstone Circuit that opened in 1947 on a former WWII airfield located near the Northamptonshire villages Silverstone and Whittlebury.

The Goodyear 4 Hours of Silverstone is the fifth of six races that will decide the title in Portugal on October 10 with TF Sport just 3 points in arrears.
