TF Sport Corvette makes the podium in wild 4-hour ELMS race at Silverstone

Third-place for the TF Sport # 82 Z06 GT3.R Corvette in LMGT3 was well earned by Hiroshi Koizimi, Rue Andrade and Charlie Eastwood at the state-of-the-art 3.66-mile Silverstone formula 1 circuit.

The track is just a 2.5-hour drive from the team’s home base in the UK.

The TF Sport team made an incredible comeback in tricky unpredictable conditions, especially in the final laps.

The race began one hour earlier than scheduled in the wake of oncoming heavy rain.

Officials stopped the action, ten minutes shy of four hours in a race that was red flagged twice to clean up wreckage left by LMP2 and LMP3 cars in the 2 hours before the rains came.

The LMGT3 winner, completing 95 laps, was the # 50 Richard Mille by AF Corse Ferrari 296 GT3 piloted by Custodio Toledo, Riccardo Agostini and Lilou Wadoux that started tenth on the LMGT3 grid.

Wild conditions crushed the outcome for the pole-winning # 85 Iron Dames Porsche 911 GT3LM piloted Sara Bovy, Michelle Gatting and Celia Martin that fell short.
