Steller Corvette stymied in the SRO Europe WC race at the Nurburgring
The # 24 Z06 GT3.R Corvette was back in action in Germany after sitting out previous races in France and Italy due to a contract dispute.
Steller Racing Team manager Max Daymond recruited Alec Udell from the USA to join Daniel Ali and Lorcan Hanafin for the 3-hour race on the 3.19 - mile circuit.
Udell brings substance to the # 24 Corvette which Hanafin qualified 20th among 61 cars consisting of AMG, Aston Martin, McLaren, Ferrari, BMW, Lambo, Porsche and Audi.
Just after the start, Maxime Robin in the # 112 McLaren 720S GT3 Evo collided with Daniel Ali in the first turn. After lengthy repairs, the Corvette completed only 38 laps, falling well short of the 70 laps to be classified.
The Rowe racing team # 98 BMW M4 GT3 EVO piloted by Raffaele Marciello, Augusto Farfus and Jesse Krohn took the win, completing 98 laps before a crowd of 25,000.
