Corvettes finish 3-4-5 at Indy Trans Am
Adam Andretti crashed the party, crossed the finish line, ran out of gas and landed on the podium.
Returning after a 2-year hiatus, Andretti drove a C6 for (ECC) Engineered Components Co/Anchor Bolt from A J Henricksen’s stable in Elgin IL with engine built by Chuck Wright.
Amy Ruman notched another top performance.
Supported by her dad Bob Ruman, chief engineer Don Edmunds and long-time crew.
Simon Gregg rounded out the top 5.
Richard Grant, a regular from Germantown TN was 12th.
Chris Dyson won his second straight Trans Am race in a Mustang built with know-how by the family’s Dyson Racing shop founded some 40 years in Poughkeepsie NY.
Larry Bailey was in one of two C6 SGT entries by Pierce Chevrolet from Daleville Indiana.
Aaron Pierce was in the other.
