# 3 ran out of gas in closing stages. Extra stop, fell back, opened way to Ford GT.
A Corvette started from the pole for the first time in recent memory, fastest time set by # 4 Olivier Gavin.
Jan Magnussen qualified a respectable 4th.
A good chance to win evaporated because there were no cautions; and under current BOP regulations, the Ford GT gets better mileage, in this case up to 5 laps over the 2 hour-40 min race.
It was not bad strategy but rather the Corvettes lost out to adversity beyond their control.
Tommy Milner returned after missing the last 2 races recovering from injured left wrist suffered in first lap collision at Watkins Glen 6 hours.
Winning # 67 Ford GT of Richard Westbrook and Ryan Briscoe.
Shrugs, no excuses, on to VIR in 2 weeks.
