Ron Fellows, Corvette racer for the ages
Ron was born in Windsor, Ontario, on September 28, 1959. He idolized Canadian world champion Gilles Villeneuve from a young age but was told he was too big to fit in F1 cars.
Ron made his mark with the GM Corvette Racing Team managed by Pratt & Miller and was a winning driver of C5.R and C6.R Corvettes from 1999- 2008.
Ron’s modest demeanor and engaging personality has served him well as GM Ambassador after retiring from the Team.
Ron is a part owner of the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park race track (formerly Mosport) with billionaires Carlo Fidani & Allan Boughton.
He enjoys naming rights for the Ron Fellows Racing School at Spring Mountain resort in NV.
Ron has been hired by other owners to drive their Corvettes in various series by virtue of his ability to win and his celebrity status.
And by NASCAR teams for his ability to master Road Courses.
The career of Ron Fellows lives on
Prior to his retirement from the Corvette Racing Team, Ron was honored with this C6.R # 33 Corvette trimmed in white; and Chevrolet offered a Ron Fellows special edition 2009 C6 Corvette that could be ordered from dealers.
Ron was asked to drive a C6 GT1 Corvette in the Trans Am Series in 2014 at CTMP where he won that race.
Ron was hired, along with Mike Skeen in 2008, to share a C6 Z06 Corvette in the SCCA Pro World Challenge Series by a holding company that owned the rights to sell Cragar wheels.
And in 2023 Ron was retained by the owner to drive the Protofab C4 1987 ex-Gregg Pickett Trans Am/IMSA GTO Corvette at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion where he won his class.
