Trans Am SGT and TA class Corvette drivers make the podium at Road America

 Kaylee Bryson # 02 started 3rd, passed Richard Forsythe # 58 on lap 10 to finish 2nd in their evenly-matched C6 Z06 Corvettes.   

 Their spirited battle through 33 laps at Road America is a sign of things to come.

Amy Ruman # 23 held off pursuers to finish 3rd in TA as pole-sitter Chris Dyson and 3-time winner Paul Menard got a bit anxious, tangled and took themselves out early on.

Amy, a two-time champ, is a great role model

Ray Kobs, a newcomer from Norwell MA finished 7th in TA while coming to grips in his # 00 “Big Dipper Racing” C6-bodied GT1 Corvette.

Brent Crews, driving the # 2 Weaver Racing Dodge Challenger won overall.  Brent debuted a TA2 Camaro 2 years ago at age 14 years, 3 months as the youngest ever driver in the series.

The next showdown comes after a long summer break on Aug 23-24 at Watkins Glen.
