Ross Chouest finishes 5th and 2nd in SRO GT America at Elkhart Lake Wisconsin

Chouest ran in the 40-minute sprint races held on Saturday and Sunday at the 4.1-mile Road America Circuit.

He had his hands full both days in the Chouest Povoledo Racing # 50 Z06 GT3. R, even though the fields were rather sparse.

Choust chose “show” vs “go”, by sitting out at the last minute the major 3-hour race of the weekend against a bigger field of 20 cars. 

Mirco Schultis finished 7th and 5th in his venerable Mishu Motors # 70 C7 GT3.R Callaway Corvette.

This year looks to be its final season of eligibility.

Memo Gidley was the winner both days in the SKI AUTOSPORTS # 56 Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVOII. 

Gidley has the title virtually locked up with two races to go at Barber Motorsports Park in late September and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in early October.
