TF Sport Corvette finishes 6th in ELMS race in Belgium

Blake McDonald (US), Charlie Eastwood (IR) and Alec Udell (US) piloted the # 33 TF Sport Z06 GT3.R Corvette to sixth place in the LMGT3 class in the 4-hour race at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium.

McDonald was fast during practice and provisional qualifying but fell back by a track limits violation in Sector 1 on his final flying lap.

Coming sixth at SPA after winning at Imola, the TF Sport # 33 Corvette trails the leading # 75 Proton Competition Porsche by a single point heading into the next race on Sept 12-13 at Silverstone in the UK.

Mike Wainwright, Mex Jansen and Lorcan Hanafin won the LMGT3 class in the # 86 GR Racing Ferrari 296 LMGT3 Evo.

TF Sport also fields the # 99 LMP2 Prototype in which drivers Louis Delétraz, Dane Cameron and P.J. Hyett finished third in class.

The legendary Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps stretches 7.004 km (4.352 miles) through dense forest, with long straights and lots of ups and downs. Drivers say it’s a test of speed, bravery, and endurance that leaves them holding their breath lap after lap.
