Pratt & Miller Corvette captures the IMSA GTD PRO Championship before a sell-out crowd at Road Atlanta
Antonio Garcia, Alexander Sims and Dany Juncadella’s third-place finish in the # 3 Pratt & Miller Z06 GT3.R Corvette topped the # 81 Dragon Speed Ferrari 296 GT3 piloted by Albert Costa, Davide Rigon and Giacomo Altoe to win the 2025 IMSA GTD PRO Drivers and Manufacturers Championships.
Side note: A leading collector and gentleman racer has acquired the winning chassis 003 that will be retired for folks to enjoy at the National Corvette Museum.
The # 81 “underdog” Ferrari overcame a penalty and led halfway through the 10-hour race until quicker pit stops, saving fuel and consistent lapping sealed the outcome in favor for the Corvette.
Garcia, competing his 17th year with Pratt & Miller, credits success to the continuity of everyone on the team, many who have been there for a long time. Does that sound like a familiar recipe?
Last year, the Pratt & Miller “Factory Team” needed to expend their energies to design, build, deliver and de-bug the new Z06 GT3.R for customer teams. Now just a year later they have prevailed!
Look for our story coming soon about how the C8 Z06 GT3.R Corvette became a big winner.
Tommy Milner, Nicky Catsburg and Nico Varrone finished 2nd in the # 4 Pratt & Miller Z06 GT3.R Corvette.
Dan Harper, in the # 48 Paul Miller Racing BMW M4 GT3 EVO, edged Catsburg’s Corvette in the late going to secure the GTD PRO class win along with Max Hesse and Connor De Phillippi.
Orey Fidani, Matt Bell and Lars Kern in the # 13 AWA Z06 GT3.R Corvette finished 9th out of 19 cars in the GTD class.
More important, they again won the coveted Bob Akin award for a second straight trip to Le Mans. The rival # 70 GTD Inception Racing Ferrari 296 GT3 was demolished in massive pile-up on the first lap.
Charlie Eastwood, Alec Udell and Salih Yoluc in the # 36 DXDT Z06 GT3.R Corvette finished 7th in the GTD class that wrapped up the team’s first season in IMSA.
Daytona seems just around the corner!
