Amy Ruman finishes fourth in Trans am at Road Atlanta
Amy Ruman, a mainstay in her # 23 C7 Corvette notched her best finish this year in the third round of the 2023 Trans Am series at Road Atlanta.
Ruman, qualifying 7th, picked up 3 spots resulting from attrition during the 40-lap race.
Chris Dyson in his # 16 Mustang led flag to flag for the win, outpacing the field by more than 1 second per lap.
Richard Grant, another mainstay in his # 30 C7 Corvette finished 8th out of 10 in the TA class.
Austin Hill, a 16-year-old prodigy from Frankfort OH completed only nine laps in his # 0 C7 Corvette entered in the XGT class. A tight schedule prevented Hill’s crew to fully adjust the Corvette in time for testing and qualifying sessions. Hill is also focused on FRP F-2000 in which he is the reigning champ in a 7-race series that is a path to INDY cars.
The Trans Am schedule takes a 2-month break until May 26-29, Memorial Day Weekend at Lime Rock Park. The FRP Series is also on the schedule.
