Callaway Corvette has a good outing at Road America

Mirco Schultis driving his # 70 Callaway C7R-GT3 Corvette finished 3rd both Saturday and Sunday in 40-minute races scheduled for the SRO GT America series at Road America.

On Saturday Mirco moved up from sixth to third resulting from an early wreck between Jason Daskalos # 27 Audi R8 LMS and Jason Harward # 88 Lambo Hurican GT3 as they tried to counter a bold move for the lead by George Kurtz # 04 AMG GT3.

Mirco held off Daskalos who recovered and almost chased him down.

A legendary former Corvette Racing Team driver still has a life! 

Andy Pilgrim serving part time for SKI Autosports won overall in the # 56 Ferrari 458.  

On Sunday, Mirco again finished third behind Kurtz and Pilgrim.  With a full day of racing ahead, officials ended the race after 27 minutes so the crew had enough time to repair guardrails that were severely damaged by two horrific wrecks among GT4 cars that took place on the front straightaway.

The SRO GT America series travels to Sebring on Sept. 23-25
