2nd & 3rd at Mosport keep Corvette Racing in the game during mid-season stretch
At the start # 3 Jan Magnussen gained a spot from eventual winner # 67 Ford GT and # 4 Oliver Gavin held fifth.
Both Corvettes stopped for fuel and tires under an early yellow flag.
Antonio Garcia and Tommy Milner took over respectively an hour later when the GTLM cars began to make their last stops. With 55 minutes left the team called in Garcia to pit with the # 911 Porsche that was running second.
Milner was running great against cars on fresher tires so the team left him stay out there.
Then Michael Westbrook in the # 67 Ford GT caught a huge break - pitting just before a final caution flag slowed the pace for a left rear wheel that broke away from Juan Pablo Montoya in the # 6 Acura Penske P1.
Westbrook emerged behind the pace car first in GTLM which assured the win.
The top five GTLM cars were nose-to-tail. Milner drafting Garcia passed the # 911 Porsche of Patrick Pilet moving up to 2nd & 3rd but the chance to win had evaporated.
Fun Video: The Corvettes pass Palet caught behind # 14 Lexus GTD Kyle Marcelli.
