Notes/Race History: The DeAtley team moved from Camaros to Corvettes for the 1984 season. DeAtley built four cars; one was a mule for development purposes and three were built for racing. At the first race, at Road Atlanta, three cars were entered. David Hobbs (# 1), Darin Brassfield (# 3) and Willy T Ribbs (# 2) were the drivers. Willy Ribbs did not start the race due to a pit lane scuffle with Bob Lobenberg in the morning practice session. That car was withdrawn from the race. Brassfield won the race. Hobbs’ car suffered from electrical problems, loosing what had appeared to be a one-two finish for DeAtley. Hobbs and Brassfield drove for the full 1984 season. At some poitn (early in the year) Richard Spenard was brought onto the team to drive the # 2 car for the balance of the season. Spenard drove under several different car number (2 and 6) and he did win the Road America race.
