Doug Bergen built this L88 big block roadster to be raced by his friend Bob Johnson.  It was sold to Jim Greendyke and later on involved by Nick Engle in a wreck at Road Atlanta.  Kevin Mackay built a new car with some of the original pieces and verified by paperwork.  It was first shown at Carlisle in 2010. Tony DeLorenzo built this 1968 Corvette that his teammate Jerry Thompson drove in FIA endurance races at Daytona and Sebring and in SCCA Club races in the mid-west.  The 2 Owens-Corning Corvettes are early examples of C3 race cars.  They won more races than any other team from 1968 - 1971.  The car was restored by Kevin Mackay and has had a number of owners.  Now resides in Rick Hendrick Heritage Collection.  More details http://registryofcorvetteracecars.com/ee/index.php/site/view_cars/326

Lou D'Amico, a racer from Lynbrook NY (Long Island) raced this big block Corvette in SCCA AP and IMSA.  He built this car from pieces at his shop.  It never changed hands until Chris Springer from Los Gatos CA bought it around 2008 and restored it to perfection.  More recently Jeff Mincheff from Portland OR acquired it for race and show.  More info,

John Greenwood from Detroit MI burst on the scene snatching the SCCA AP national championship from the Owens Corning team at the 1971 runoffs at Road Atlanta.  He went on to FIA and IMSA endurance racing getting sponsorship from BFG radial tires.  This coupe was restored for Chuck Ungurean, a collector from OH.  It has since been sold.  More info

This is the first of 2 big block roadster/hardtops built and raced by Frank "Skip" Panzarella from Long Island NY.  It now appears as a coupe modeled by Marc Godfroy after one of the Corvettes raced by Henri Greder at Le Mans in 1971.  The car has appeared at the Le Mans Classic and other vintage races in Europe.  More info,

John Greenwood, working for the first time with designer/engineer Bob Riley and GM stylist Randy Wittine built the first wide body Corvette.  He introduced it at Road Atlanta in mid-1974.  It was restored by expert Lance Smith.  It is kept in the US by a collector from Switzerland.  More info,

Bob LaPane built this car on a frame bought from Cheve dealer in Arlington MA.  Doug Bethke spied it, wanted to buy it and would not take "no" for an answer.  Developed with trick trailing arms for better handling. GT1 Runoffs champ 1981 & 1982.  Restored by the late Leon Hurd and donated to NCM in 1993.  Sat for 20 years, not running until refurbished in 2012, thanks to initiative of then trustee Ivan Schrodt.  More details,

Greenwood collaborated even more deeply with engineer/designer Bob Riley to create a tube frame chassis for better handling and a narrower body for better aerodynamics.  Only 2 were built.  John Paul Sr bought this one before moving on to a turbo Porsche 935.  It is now in the collection awaiting further restoration by noted racer/classic car dealer/entrepreneur Bruce Canapa from Scotts Valley CA.  More info
