Succeeded by Bob Bondurant, up and comer who caught the eye of Sheldon Washburn and went on to race for Carroll Shelby and achieved international fame. 1959 Cal Club champion. 283 fuelie. One of three 1960 Corvettes purchased by Briggs Cunningham to race at Le Mans and the only one that finished. The first Corvette to win its class at the Le Mans 24 hour race.. Found and restored by Kevin Mackay for the late Chip Miller. Subject of the Quest documentary by Michael Brown about its history and return to Le Mans in June 2010 marking the 50th anniversary of its win.
